About Pandit Dave

Devanand Das also known as Pandit Dave Das is a practicing pandit for 15+ years. He is the son of Badewattie Das & Ramesh Das. Eldest brother to Alisa Das & Ishwar Das. Husband to Angel Lall & Father to Divyana Das & Diveena Das. His Guruji is Pandit Narayan Latchana also known as Pandit Baya. He has guided him through his spiritual journey to becoming a Pandit. Devanand Das was born and raised in Queens, NY.

In addition to School, he was also active in many extra curricular activities from the tender age of 4 years old. At 8 years old, he attained his 1st degree black belt in karate from Purple Dragon International. In addition to martial arts, he also attended music and cultural classes in Harmonium, Tabla and Hindi. In 2014, Pandit Dave graduated from Townsend Harris High School & continued furthering his education at NYIT where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Accounting in 2018. He now works remote as a Contract based Staff Accountant & an independent Forex trader.

At 10 years old, the spiritual journey began for Pandit Dave. From a youth talent show, Pandit Baya met and told Pandit Dave & his mother that "he has tremendous potential to become a great leader as a pandit" Pandit Baya became his Guru and he guided him towards the path of spirituality as a young pandit. Through moments of self-realization, Pandit Dave truly found his calling and decided to make a positive change not only for himself but for his generation and the future ones to come.

Pandit Dave serves as the Board of Director and Treasurer of National Children Cultural Foundation. He also Manages the Kal Ki Roshni TV Program. Pandit Dave & family bought a house & relocated in Orlando, FL in August 2022. He maintains his same job as a remote staff accountant and forex trader. His wife works as a clinical research coordinator at Orlando Health. Together, him and his wife opened an Online based Academic & Cultural Academy called Baal Sanskriti Vikaas. In their school they teach harmonium, dholak, tabla, dance and a Hindu curriculum.

In addition, Pandit Dave is now working with some other youths in developing a Hindu curriculum which will be taught in various schools built around the USA under the NCCF. Pandit Dave is an entertaining and great person to be around. He is very pleasant and very well loved. Devotees love him for his ability to connect a simple inspiring message to both the youths and adults.
